The release of Pac-Man by MB Games represents a significant moment in games history. From the late 1970s the games market was transformed by the rise of arcade and computer games. Board game manufacturers responded not only by incorporating electronic gadgets into some of their games but also by releasing board games based on popular video games. No video game was more popular in the early 1980s than the dot-gobbling Pac-Man. No other board game symbolises of the tectonic shift in gaming away from the board and to the computer as this one. Pac-Man, which went on to become the highest-grossing video game of all time, spawned a whole new generation of computer games while the mainstream board game market began its slow decent.
As you would expect, the board game itself is like Pac-Man but with dice!

Information about MB Games
Milton Bradley established his eponymous printing company in 1860. To grow the business Bradley created The Checkered Game of Life and its success set a new direction for the company. On its centenary In 1960, MB Games updated its very first game and simplified the title - Game Of Life remains popular even today.
MB is perhaps best known for producing action games, particularly aimed at children, such as Mousetrap and Operation, and also TV tie-ins. For the family and adult market it produced games such as Yahtzee, Go For Broke and HeroQuest and Bermuda Triangle. In response to the rise of computer games in the early 1980s, MB marketed board game versions of popular arcade titles, such as Pacman.
In 1984 MB Games was swallowed up by Hasbro.
