Your task is to recruit and keep a full personnel headcount (two secretaries, two salesmen, one sales manager, one vice-president and one president) in your company and making it safely around to a new fiscal year. As you move about the board you can hire and poach staff. Setting the salary levels is crucial - too low and your staff switch companies, too high and your company goes under.
Reflecting the 1970s Zeitgeist, the managers are cigar-smoking men the secretaries are all women. An interesting ice-breaker at a retro dinner party!

Information about Waddingtons
Waddingtons was a UK publisher of card and board games between 1922 and 1994, when the company was bought by Hasbro. Founded by John Waddington and Wilson Barratt, the company was originally called Waddingtons Limited and its name changed several times, including to Waddington's House of Games in the 1970s.
Waddingtons was arguably Europe's best game manufacturer, producing classic board games such as Cluedo, Formula 1, Buccaneer,Totopoly and, of course, Monopoly. Waddingtons playing cards are also highly collectable.
