Royal Mail Price Increases
After the Royal Mail hiked prices for the delivery of parcels within the UK in April 2013, nearly tripling charges in some cases, it is much more expensive to send larger items using Royal Mail. To alleviate these enormous price increases for our customers, our preferred delivery service is now Collect+, details of which are below.
The delivery option on the mailing page is the most convenient and cost-effective given the size, weight and price of the game. If you prefer a different mailing service than the one provided please e-mail us. We will reserve the game(s) you are interested in and inform you of the mailing charge. You can then decide whether to proceed with the order. We use Collect+, Royal Mail and UPS. Delivery by Royal Mail and courier (UPS) will be to the address provided on ordering the game (normally your home address).
We use Collect+ Store-to-Store because we believe it is more convenient and secure than Collect+ delivering to your home address. The game can be collected at a time convenient to you, with no need to wait in at home. Also, there is no risk of the game being damaged or stolen by being left on the doorstep, which can occur with a door-to-door delivery service.
We select the Collect+ store that is nearest to your address (you can check what this is by going to the Collect+ website and entering your postcode). We e-mail you when the game is dispatched. Collect+ will email you when the game is ready for collection from the store, and will give you a 7 digit collection barcode. Show the storekeeper your collection barcode for them to scan, along with a form of ID such as credit/debit card, drivers licence or passport.
You will have 10 days to collect your parcel once it has been delivered to the store, otherwise it will be returned to us. If you are unable to collect the parcel yourself, someone with your proof of ID and your 7 digit collection barcode can collect the parcel on your behalf. We have found the service to be reliable and convenient.
Note If you want Collect+ to deliver the game to a different store, or to your home address, please email us when you order, and/or include an instruction on the PayPal payment page, and we will arrange it.
We make no profit on mailing the game to you. The mailing charge consists of the cost of bubble wrap and brown paper, which is dependent on the dimensions of the game, and the delivery charges. Unless two games happen to have similar weight and dimensions, each game has a unique mailing charge. This applies to all our customers, including those outside the UK.
If you are unhappy with you purchase we strongly recommend you contact us first so we can try to fix the problem. We do accept returns but as we are a small family business we regret we cannot cover your costs of the return postage. We try to be as clear and accurate as possible in describing the games we sell to avoid disappointment and are always happy to provide additional information on any stock item.
